2011 - An excellent year for our family immersion French courses

Dana and her family stayed at Alcidie Farm. Dana followed an immersion French course while the rest of the family enjoyed their holiday.
Did you enjoy your course & holiday ?
Dana: "Yes to both. The course was great. For me, it was the perfect holiday; mornings working and afternoons free to relax and enjoy nature".



Did the experience differ from your expectations ?
Dana "The experience was better than I had expected, particularly with regard to the accommodation. We all had the added benefit of being with a French family, speaking French with them and learning more about the French lifestyle."

Margaret and her family stayed at a chalet on the campground. Margaret and her son, Hugo, each had a private French teacher and seperate immersion French courses, and her husband relaxed.

Did the experience differ from your expectations ? Margaret: "The course was exactly what we wanted and hoped for. We took a risk as we did not know Sophie or Sylvie but they were both excellent teachers. Sylvie calculated my level exactly and put a lot of effort into finding interesting and stretching material for me. Hugo was a little resistant at first but Sophie really brought him out of his shell and he learned a lot and really enjoyed his time with her. She got him really involved with the French way of life and improved his level in reading writing speaking and above all comprehension".

Hugo (with his teacher) asks local residents questions, and does his best to follow their explanations ..
"Mine and Hugo’s French improved very much ....We would certainly come again, the teaching was excellent, the village friendly and the accommodation very reasonable and welcoming"

Peggy, her partner and their children stayed 1 week at Les Boutins Farm and 1 week in a chalet at the campground.

Peggy and the 3 kids followed an immersion French course; and Graham mountain-biked.

Did the experience differ from your expectations ? "Yes, it was much better.  Both the children and adults enjoyed it a lot.  Our aim was to give the children and me the confidence to try and put the words together ....we are really hoping to continue with the positive lessons we had"
